Technical Bulletin No. 8 –
Annual Maintenance Service
The following services will be provided free of charge* for five years from the date of the installation
- Wash all units on the exterior, jambs, sashes and sills with a vinegar and water solution; remove all solid deposits, clean-out locking points.
- Wash all glass on the exterior with a vinegar and water solution, dry.
- Inspection of all gaskets, replacement where needed.
- Lubrication of all operating hardware with white Lithium Grease, spray all operating hardware surfaces and gasket surfaces with Lithium Grease.
- Inspection of all locking points for alignment.
- Inspection and required adjustment of all operating hardware components.
- Inspection of all decorative hardware, adjust where needed.
- Inspections of exterior finish, re-touch where needed, re-surface where needed, application of caulking on open miters.
- Treatment of all exposed (exterior) surfaces with Holzbalsam, a product developed to remove oxidization of the finish and to build up about 6 to 8 microns of the finish.
*We are providing this Annual Service for all installations within 150 miles from West Palm Beach, or for all installations exceeding fifty units within the United States. All installations outside of the defined territory will receive a Maintenance Manual and Holzbalsam for the Annual Maintenance Service. An Annual Maintenance Contract is available, beyond the terms.
