The custom built Entrance Doors have been designed in the European Tradition of a full overlay of the sash into the jamb. This engineering principle provides the primary transfer of the positive wind pressure from the multi-point locking system and stainless steel barrel hinges onto the contact area created between the merbau out-swing sash and the merbau jamb. This contact occurs at extreme wind load conditions, when the dual gaskets are fully compressed. The selection of the material for these gaskets ensures a “cushioned” closure of the sashes, providing a solid and tight fit. |

The construction and the joinery of the sashes and the jambs is executed in the dowel and coping tradition, providing the strongest connection based on Institut fuer Fenstertechnik in Rosenheim, Germany, the oldest European authority on the design and related research of the window and door manufacturing industry. |

The number of dowels at the corners could amount to ten for the widest sash stile to rail connection. We use three dowels at each corner of the jamb. A standard double casement window would engage 52 dowels in its construction. |

Sash stiles and rails have been designed in various widths to offer the flexibility to architects and interior designers to design and proportion the sashes from a slim to a standard width, with any variables available in between. This decision has been recognized as unique in the industry of hurricane tested French Doors. It truly offers the flexibility to custom design windows. |

| The multi-point locking system extends on three edges of the sash, locking it against the jamb securely. There are a minimum of five to a maximum of twelve locking points. This hardware has the highest burglar proof rating in Europe. The fourth edge is held in place by the stainless steel hinges numbering a minimum of two to a maximum of five. |
| |
The design of the sash and its dual gasket system assure that the only hardware components exposed to the weather are the hinges. The location of the primary gasket at the outside edge of the sash seals the airspace between the sash and the jamb, thereby protecting all other hardware components from corrosion. |

All penetrations for fasteners are pre-drilled and coated to avoid bleeding cause by the high mineral content and pigments of the wood, unto adjoining surfaces during the installation. All fasteners are covered by a filler strip to trim out the installation. |

A selection of muntins is available in fourteen different widths and designs, ranging from 13/16” to 2 13/16” in width.
Entrance Doors are completely pre-finished in the factory. The selection includes fourteen different stain colours and thousands of opaque finishes as per the available RAL colour-chart. |
