 Jamb                                             Sash

The integrity of sash and jamb corners is a critical component in any window or door. We at Luxbaum Windows + Doors recognize this and have designed our products to utilize cope and dowel joinery construction. According to Institut fuer Fenstertechnik in Rosenheim, Germany, the oldest European authority on the design and related research of the window and door manufacturing industry, this construction provides the strongest form of fenestration joinery. Further, we developed a joinery system, including jamb corners, that avoids the use of mechanical fasteners. We use up to ten dowels at each corner for our widest sash stile (72148) to rail (72301) connection. Thus a standard double casement window would utilize 40 dowels in its construction.
