Our impact resistant windows and doors offer enhanced structural security, sound proofing, and thermal insulation. They feature impact-resistant glazing and multi-point locking systems which provide an extraordinarily strong and integral structure. Our entire line is developed to withstand the high-risk, hurricane-prone coastal regions of the United States, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean Basin. They are impact tested, and certified.
Impact Resistance
All of our windows and exterior doors:
- Have received a Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from the Miami Dade County Product Control Division.
- Meet the requirements of the Florida Building Code for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, the Building Code for Windstorm Resistant Construction, the Standard Building Code and the South Florida Building Code.
Our entire product line is designed to ensure the integrity of the building envelope during extreme weather. Every custom window and door we create is built from select merbau timber, a wood whose strength and remarkable durability are nearly double that of Honduran Mahogany. Our windows and doors can be found in numerous residential and commercial projects throughout the world.
Custom Design Flexibility
For architects and designers who specialize in custom-design work, Luxbaum recognizes the need for options. To that end, our fenestration program allows for maximum flexibility while preserving visual continuity throughout our entire product line. A complete package of windows and doors, weather fixed or operating, folding or french, can be visually coordinated. We offer a variety of choices in sash widths, muntin and mullion profiles, jamb extensions, casings, interior and exterior paneling, and shutters. Luxbaum also custom-makes jambs and sashes upon request, within the parameters of our tested designs.
